HD Hyundai E&F (Energy & Future) is a wholly owned subsidiary of HD Hyundai Oilbank established in 2021 to supply steam and electricity to HD Hyundai Chemical. After obtaining a license to operate a district energy business, we entered into a natural gas supply agreement under an individual tariff scheme with Korea Gas Corporation in March 2022. Following the completion of basic design in 2023 and the commencement of construction in 2024, HD Hyundai E&F is set to begin commercial operations in March 2026 as both a district energy supplier and a regional electricity operator.

District Energy Business
HD Hyundai E&F uses LNG procured from Korea Gas Corporation under an individual tariff to operate a 277 MW gas turbine generator and produce steam via a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) with a capacity of 346.2 tons per hour. The generated electricity is supplied to HD Hyundai Chemical, with any surplus electricity sold to KEPCO. We also supply steam from the HRSG to nearby companies and use a portion of it to generate additional electricity by operating a 23 MW steam turbine generator.
