HD Hyundai & Shell Base Oil is a joint venture established between the domestic refiner HD Hyundai Oilbank and the Shell group from the UK/Netherlands. Since its establishment in April 2012, it has completed and started operation of its lubricant base oil plant in the Daesan Petrochemical Complex in Chungcheongnam-do, Korea in late 2014. HD Hyundai & Shell Base Oil supplies 25,000 barrels/day of highly refined feedstock to produce lubricant base oils, which are provided to over 50 countries worldwide.
