HD Hyundai Construction Equipment (CEO Cheol-gon Choi) said that Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko and his delegation visited the company's global education center in Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do, on April 16 (Tuesday) to discuss cooperation on postwar recovery.
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment CEO Cheol-gon Choi and Overseas Sales Executive and Managing Director Jum-Seok Byun met with Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea Ponomarenko and his delegation to introduce the center and discuss the supply of construction equipment needed for post-war recovery and training of local technicians to operate it.
Ambassador Ponomarenko observed a demonstration of an excavator driving simulator and then experienced driving an excavator himself after the discussion.
He then visited the hydraulic parts and engine maintenance training workshops and observed the training of the national team athletes who will be competing in the 2024 Lyon WorldSkills Competition in France.
According to HD Hyundai Construction Equipment officials, training of operation and maintenance technicians is essential for quick damage recovery as well as equipment supply. “HD Hyundai's specialized education curriculum and know-how will greatly contribute to Ukraine's reconstruction and subsequent industrial development,” they added, expressing their commitment to cooperation.
Demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian aid, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has been unwavering in its support for Ukraine since its delegation's visit in September 2023. The company has forged partnerships with local authorities and donated excavators and forklifts to facilitate the urgent reconstruction of war-torn regions.
